The MAZI Project – Delivery Driver

Start Date: June 2024

Location: Bristol
Contract Type: Self-employed
Hours: Self Employed paid per drop between 50-60 per run @ £2 per drop plus £5 van collection and £5 key drop (estimate £15/ph).

Regular hours: Tuesday 13:30 – 20:30 (usually – depends on traffic)
Contract Details: 6 months

About Us: The MAZI Project

The MAZI Project is a youth-led charity dedicated to empowering disadvantaged individuals aged 16-25 through food. We focus on supporting care leavers, young asylum seekers, and those recovering from homelessness and domestic violence. Our innovative approach involves delivering weekly meal kits filled with fresh, local, and organic ingredients, encouraging young people to develop their cooking skills while enjoying fresh, local, tasty food.

 

Role Details: Delivery Driver

As a committed and reliable team member and delivery driver, you will play a crucial role in our MAZI community. Your primary responsibility will be delivering our meal boxes across Bristol to the young people we support.

The collection for the first delivery is every Tuesday at 13:30 from Bedminster. You will deliver between 50-60 boxes per week at £2 per drop, plus £5 for the van collection.

We provide you with a Ford Transit Van.

You will help us by being a point of contact to our young people during deliveries and feeding back to us any communication had with our young people during deliveries.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • DBS current check
  • Full UK drivers licence held for 3 years or more
  • Minimum age of 21
  • Willingness to contribute to our mission of reducing food insecurity and boosting the confidence of young people
